The Peak climbing activities is one of the most popular adventure sports in Himalayan region of Nepal, which offers the various grades of peaks out of 300 peaks between 5800 m to 6576 m. The Nepal mountaineering Association (NMA) has been taking the responsibility to issue the climbing permit. But according to technicality, elevation and nature of climbing route of the peak, The Nepal Mountaineering Association has been grading and grouping 27 NMA Peaks as group ‘A 12 and group ‘B’15. And NMA monitors all the formality as well. But above 7000 m peaks are monitoring by Ministry of Tourism of Nepal Government. These climbing peaks require basic mountaineering equipment, technique and proper base camp and high camp as well. There are some popular peaks, which does not need climbing permit is also called Trekking Peak. There are popular under NMA climbing Peaks like: Island Peak(6189 m), Mera Peak (6476 m), Lobuche Peak (6090 m), Pisang Peak (6091 m), Singu Chuli (6501 m), Cholatse (6423 m) are the famous Climbing Peaks in Nepal.
