The Island Peak (6189 m) is the most famous climbing peak in Everest region. It is technical climbing and much accessible for the EBC trekkers and Everest Expedition group as well. Many expedition group, they do lots of practice in Island Peak before start expedition. Island Peak is known as Imja tse which is located in the Sagarmatha National Park in Everest region. This Island climbing permit is issued by (NMA).
The Island Peak climbing journey also start from Lukla after 30 minutes from Kathmandu or by jeep/bus to Salleri then following the traditional path to EBC. Until Dingboche. Island Peak Climbing is the additional adventure of Everest Base Camp and 3 Pass Trek which provide the best chance to experience the mountaineering ideas. Just adding couple of day extra in your Everest Base Camp Trekking plan, you can climb Island Peak with extra thin air experience. You can enjoy 360’ view of Himalaya from the summit as well. You can rent all necessary climbing gears at Chhukuing and Dingboche so you need to arrange climbing guide and permit from trekking agency. In the Island Peak Base Camp climbing guide will give you couple of hour training hoe to use climbing gears during summit. Minimum you have to stay in tent 1 night before summit. Climbing mountain job is very challenging and risky job so before climbing you have physically and mentally well prepared then you will defiantly enjoy your adventure and marked lifetime memory as well.
Island Peak climbing has been busiest trekking peak in Nepal due to technicality and accessibility. It is cheap and reliable to arrange then other peaks.
