The Tsum Valley is the newly oppened trekking route in Manaslu region. It was restricted area for foreigner until 2008. After that Govt. decided to open for tourist with espical permit in group.Tsum Valley offer the unique culture and centuries old way of life. This is the shortest itinerary of Tsum Valley Trek.
It is restricteted area located in Manaslu region which requare espical permit and Manaslu conservation permit as well. This espical permit is issuied by authorised trekking agency minimum two people in a group. Trekkers has to physically fit and every day walk 5 to 7 hour and spending at teahouse with enjoying local culture and food.
Everyday walking through the divers forest, espectacular landscap, mountain, widevariety of flora and fauna,villages, bridge, waterfall are really inspring fact during hiking. Ganesh Himal Sringi Himal, Buddha Himal and Manaslu are visiable and highlight of the trek.
In Tsum Valley Trek trekkers can experience about Tibetan Buddhism and their life style like Tibet, like Various decoraded Monasteries, Chorten, mani wall, Gompa their lifestyle, culture and ritual are very insparing for foreginers so this vally is know as seculaded part of Nepal like Tibet.
Tsum Valley is more popular for Tibetan culture and tradition Buddhist culture and Manaslu is the more popular for adventure but people can do both Tsum Vally and Manaslu adding some extra days.
Kathmandu about 8 hour by bus to Machhakhola (900 m) overnight at lodge
Machhakhola about 1 hour by sharing jeep to Jagat then anout 6 hour trek to Lokpa (2300 m) overnight at lodge
Lokpa about 8 hour trek to Chham paro (3100 m) overnight at lodge
Chhekm paro about 5 hour trek to Nile (3300 m) overnight at lodge
Nile about 2 hour trek to Mu Gompa (3700 m) look around enjoy lunch then about 5 hour trek down to Lamagaon (3100 m) overnight at lodge.
Lamagaon about 7 hour trek to Lokpa (2300 m) overnight at lodge.
Lokpa about 6 hour trek to jagat then about 1 hour by sharing jeep to Machhakhola overnight at lodge
Machhakhola about 8 hour by bus to kathmandu
The Tsun Valley is restricted area with sensitive mountain border with Tibet. There are century long unspoild Buddhist culture, ways of life. Itis also known as Manaslu cultural trek as well, This is naturally beautiful besides culture and religion as well. so it is so popular.
Thum Valley Trek is a restricted valley for foreginer tourist so tourist can visit in this valley with especial permit, trek with organised group and authorised guide. the permit is issued by authorise trekking company. So individual tourist isnot allow to do trek in Tsum Valley.
One sharing potter is provided for two guests who carry 20 to 25 kg in the high altitudes during the Manaslu Circuit Trek. If one guest need a guide and potter then we provude we provide one person who works both job guiding and carring in same budge and he can carry 10 to 12 Kg backpack of the guest. if guest demand seprate guide and potter both then need extra payment.
During The Tsum Valley Short Trek, normally you need two type of bags. One smal personal bag is carrying by yourself putting your important things like; passport, money, mobile etc and another big bag is giving to potter putting necessary trekking gears. which is maximum 10 to 12 kg of each person.
You need good trekking boots, light shoes or sandal, Down Jacket, Sleeping Bag, Wind Proof Jacket and Trousers, Some inner T-short and Trousers, Trekking Poles, Sunglasses, Sun Cream, Water Bottel, Water drop, and some general medicine are necessary things for in Tsum Valley Rapid Trek Trek in Manaslu Region of Nepal.
Altitude sickness is medical condition that can happen when you get rapid altitude gain then there is imbalance between atmospheric pressure and blood pressure. We get less amount of Oxygen when breath than lower altitude then our body get trouble to adjust in this altitude and this is called High Altitude Sickness. Headache, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, dizziness are the common symptoms of high altitude sickness that is call (AMS) and getting seriously worsen call (HAPE) and (HACE) which can be life threatening as well, if we do careless. Recognizing symptoms in time and descending to lower elevation is the key of the solution. Generally above 3000 m people start to feel altitude sickness so we should drink more and walk slow.
You should follow and respect all cultural rule while doing trekking in the mountain.
You shouls take permission before take picture of local people, cultural place and ceramoney, alwyas walk clockwise while walking in the temple and monastery, take up shoes before enter temple and local house, don't give money and cholacte to children without permission during trekking.
During the Tsum Valley Fast Trek, better to have vegeterain food because all meet suply from lower part by potter which has already affected by virus and vecteria so it is not really higine, eate at same tourist guest house and drink safety and mineral water and stop alcohal until complet trek and bring some emergency dry food as well.
