Pikey Peak Trek start more than one place like: Jiri, Dhap and Salleri but must of people start trek from Dhap Bazaar after 8/9 hour by jeep from Kathmandu alog with beautiful valley, landscape, river and various villages during the drive to Dhap Bazaar. From here your Pikey Peak journey begins passing through the hugh rhododendron and pine forest, open Yak pasture,various Shrepa and other interesting ethinic villages to the tip of Pikey Peak. You can clearly enjoy the stunning view of several 8000 m high mountains like: Mt. Everest (8848 m) Lotse 8516 m), Cho Oyu(9201 m), Makalu( 84581 m), Kanchenjunga(8586 m), Numbur Manaslu, Gauri Shanker (7134 m),Langtang and many more famous peaks. Yes ,if you start or ends your trek in Jiri then you need to buy Gaurishanker Conservation permit if you scap this point then you do't need permit but TIMS card is mandotary all over the Nepal.
You need to bring good trekking boots, water proof trouser and jacket, down jacket, sleeping bag, trekking pols, suns glass and suns cream,hat, water bottel, water purification things, rain cot worm clotches, normal carnpons etc.
