Nepal is beautiful country in south Asia between China and India. It is Located at the central Himalaya containing with eight of the fourteen tallest peaks, including World’s highest mountain Mt. Everest in Nepal. There is birth place of Buddha Lumbani as well. Nepal is the important spiritual place for Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims in the World also. Nepal used to be only Hindu country in the World before 2008, but now it has become secular country. Kathmandu is the Capital city of Nepal and Nepali is the official language of Nepal and there are other regional and ethnic dialects as well. There are almost about 30 million people living in Nepal.
Nepal is a landlocked country, East, West and North Himalayan border share with China South with India. It is covered with 147181 Km square and spreading 850 km square East to West and about 230 km square South to North. The shape of Nepal is like sandwich between China and India. Highest piece of Planet Mt. Everest and Rhino roaming dense tropical jungle are in Nepal due to climatic variation, you can experience vast diversity in flora, fauna, culture and geography as well. It is geographically divided in to Himal (mountain region) Pahad (hilly region) and Terai (flat region).
Economically Nepal is depending on traditional agriculture. It is about 80% people directly or indirectly involves in agriculture but unfortunately can’t contain internal demand due to lack of modern technology and scientific exploration in agriculture. It is only about 20% land is cultivable out of total and about 37% is covered with forest and rest of land is covered with mountain, river etc. Rice and wheat is the main agriculture product of Nepal. Almost all agriculture products are depending on monsoon so monsoon plays the important role in agriculture product. India is the biggest exporter in Nepal. Almost over 30% active population are in outside country for work and study then Nepal increasing business loss every day. Tourism and Hidro-energy sector is the productive field except agriculture. But there is lack of strong system and investment in Hidro and tourism sector also has not held the right that.
In Nepal there are two main groups of people: - Indo-Aryan and Tibeto Burman. Indo-Aryan are mostly follow the Hindu culture and celebrate the Hindu festivals like: Dashian, Tihar, Teej, Holi, Jani Purnema, Maghe Sankaranti etc. and Tibeto Burman group mostly follow the Buddhist culture and celebrate Buddhist festival like: Lhosar, Buddha Jayanti etc. There are so far found 123 ethnic groups and 125 spoken languages in Nepal. Cow, Daphe and Laliguras are the nation symbol of Nepal as well.
Before unification Nepal was ruled by many Kirats Dynasty, The Lichchavi Dynasty, Mallas Dynasty,and Thakuru Dynasty. Kirats dynasty had been started since 700 BC. Until 300 AD. About 1000 years. Then Lichchavi ruled until 9th century then Thakuri and Malla ruled until 18th century. There were so many Kingdoms in Nepal before unification of Nepal the Shah King Prithinarayan inaugurated unification different handy kingdom in 1743. He died before complete unification then his son keep continues unification until completed. The Shah Dynasty ruled 240 years by eleven Kings then Nepal has been announced as Republic of Federal Democratic Country in 2008. Now Nepal has been divided into 7 Province and 77 District.
